Dhruv stood up from his place. Slowly he lifted his hands and pointed directly at Avyaan.

"Pehle iski karao."

Avyaan eyes widened

"What!"

He immediately pointed back at Dhruv. "Aap bade ho pehle aap karo."

"Nahi pehle tu"

"Pehle aap"

"Pehle tu"

"Pehle aap"

"Pehle tu"

Abhishek watched the exchange with an expression that suggested he had anticipated this exact reaction.

"Pehli meri kara do." Anvika declared calmly with a smile.

Both brothers turned to stare at her in disbelief.

"Chup!" Both shouted at once.

She innocently shrugged her shoulders.

Abhishek chuckled

"You three are impossible." He said, shaking his head.

He leaned forward slightly. "This was not an announcement the final will be definitely your Dhruv."

The brief calm that had settled over the living room was fragile like glass waiting to crack.

Anvika, who had been unusually quiet for all of thirty seconds, tilted her head thoughtfully and broke the silence.

"Papa, who is the girl?" She asked casually, though her eyes gleamed with curiosity.

Abhishek leaned back, fingers interlaced, his expression unreadable yet deliberate.

"Aakriti Goenka."

The words had barely left his mouth when-

Dhruv stiffened.

His reaction was immediate and visceral. His eyes widened in sheer disbelief, color draining from his face as if someone had just announced a life sentence rather than a marriage proposal.

"Nahi, bilkul nahi." He said flatly

Everyone turned toward him.

Abhishek raised an eyebrow. "And why not?"

Dhruv stood up abruptly, running a hand through his hair, agitation written all over his posture.

"Main us pagal ladki se shaadi nahi karunga" he burst out. "Jab dekho mere pechhe padi rehti hai."

"Huh" Anvika raised an eyebrow.

Avyaan's lips twitched, though her wisely said nothing.

Dhruv paced the room now, words spilling out like suppressed memories finally finding release.

Abhishek voice cut through the banter, calm but final. "You will meet her before making any judgements."

Dhruv opened his mouth to argue, then stopped. His shoulders sagged slightly as reality settled in.

He exhaled deeply, the weight of unfinished thoughts settling on his shoulders. Rubbing the back of his neck, he finally broke the silence.

"Anyways I am going to office" He said, his tone calm but resolute. His gaze shifted towards Avyaan. "Aan chal."

Avyaan looked up and nodded.

Avyaan grabbed his car keys from the console table while Dhruv followed him out, their footsteps echoing through the quiet corridor.

The door closed behind them, leaving the house momentary still yet the air remained heavy, as if something irrevocable had already begun to stir.

The glass doors of the Bhosale Enterprises slid open as Aakriti Goenka walked in, her heels clicking confidently against the polished marble floor. Earphones tucked comfortably in her ears, she hummed softly to the tune playing completely immersed in her own world.

Her iPad was balanced in one hand, a coffee cup in the other. Focused, unbothered, unaware.

At the very same moment, Dhruv and Avyaan entered from the opposite corridor, deep in discussion.

And then-

Thud

Aakriti collided straight into Dhruv.

Time froze.

Her coffee cup tilted dangerously before gravity claimed it, the liquid spilling mercilessly across Dhruv's suit.

Dhruv gasped sharply. "My-"

Aakriti ripped one earphone out instantly, her eyes widening in horror as she took in the scene.

"Oh my god.. sir.. I-"

Dhruv looked down at the spreading stain, disbelief written across his face. His jaw tightened as he slowly inhaled.

Avyaan turned his face away biting the inside of his cheek his shoulders shaking as he struggled desperately to suppress his laughter.

"Sorry aan.. I mean Avyaan sir." Aakriti said blinking innocently.

"It's ok di.. I mean miss Goenka." Avyaan said suppressing his laughter.

Dhruv straightened his jacket, jaw clenched as he looked down at the stubborn coffee stain now decorating his otherwise immaculate suit. He inhaled slowly before lifting his gaze to her.

"Tumhari problem kya hai Aakriti?" He asked, his voice controlled but edged with irritation.

Aakriti blinked up at him innocently, then followed his gaze to the stain. For a split second, she looked apologetic.

Then she smiled.

Tilting her head slightly, she clasped her hands behind her back and said sweetly, "arre par dekhiye na" her eyes sparkled with mischief, "aap mere coffee ke rang me rang gaye."

A soft giggle escaped her lips. "Hihi."

Dhruv stared at her, utterly speechless.

Behind him, Avyaan pressed his lips together, shoulders trembling as he fought the urge to laugh out loud. He leaned closer and murmured under his breath, "bhaiya, shall we declare this A brand collaboration?"

Dhruv shot him a glare sharp enough to silence him instantly.

Before he could say anything, Aakriti's phone vibrated in her hand.

She picked up the call. "Haan miru bol."

There was a brief pause.

"Didi it's me Ansh."

A familiar male voice responded calmly from the other end.

Aakriti blinked. "Oo Haan bol Shivansh."

Avyaan looked at Aakriti, he clenched his fists, his jaw tightened hearing the name, Dhruv glanced at him, he wanted to say something but choose to stay silent atleast for now.

"Wait, mere phone mein dhang se awaaj nahi aata hai," She said pouting slightly, "Main speaker pe karti hoon."

"Didi." Shivansh said, his voice echoing.

Avyaan fists turned white, he closed his eyes, his lips trembled.

"Didi," Shivansh continued, his voice warm and composed, "Mira naam ki chudail ka birthday hai kuch dino me. I have sent you everything from my phone for the celebration."

Aakriti nodded instinctively as she listened.

"Abhi mera phone discharge ho gaya hai hai," Shivansh added, "isliye chudail ke phone se kiya hai, chudail gayi hai chips lene."

She quickly unlocked her phone, fingers flying across the screen as she opened WhatsApp. She narrowed her eyes as she scrolled through the messages.

"Haan, bheja hai tune," She said approvingly. "Don't worry I'll handle everything."

"Ok di, but make sure chudail ko surprise ke baare me pata na chale." Shivansh added and she chuckled.

"Ok I'll make sure." She said

"Ok di chudail is coming, so I should hang up," He said, "bye."

A pause

"Bye."

The call ended.

Aakriti lowered the phone, a faint smile lingering on her lips as she slipped it into her bag.

Dhruv looked at her and raised an eyebrow, she looked at him and narrowed her eyes. He gestures her towards Avyaan.

She glanced at Avyaan her eyes widened, guilt flashing across her face.

She glanced at Dhruv and mouthed a "sorry"

He shook his head, "ocean ka birthday hai na, kuch dino ke baad." He instantly changed the topic.

She nodded still looking at Avyaan.

"Aan,"

Avyaan turned on his heel and walked away.

'Sorry Dhruv, I totally forgot about aan," Aakriti said, her voice filled with guilt, "I'm so sorry."

Dhruv shook his head and walked away. He reached near Avyaan.

Avyaan glanced at him then at the stained suit and shook his head slightly.

"Car mein extra pair of clothes hai bhaiya," He said calmly. "Aap change kar lo."

Dhruv paused, then let out a quite sigh. "Good," he muttered. "Because this day is clearly determined to test my patience."

He glanced at Avyaan and keep his hand on his shoulder, "you ok."

Avyaan nodded, "why do you think, I'll not be ok," he continued, "I don't care about him."

Dhruv sensing the situation instantly changed the topic, "ok come I have to change right now."

Avyaan smiled faintly as they headed toward the parking lot, the tension easing if only for a moment.

Shivansh stepped into the hospital lobby, his crisp white shirt and black trousers immaculate, spectacles perfectly in place. At 6'1, his presence was impossible to ignore. Almost immediately, several heads turned.

Mira walking just behind him, noticed it all and couldn't resist a sly grin.

"Ansh," she said softly, tilting her head, "aaj lagta hai tere liye fan club ban gaya hai."

Shivansh glanced at her briefly, expression calm but slightly amused. "So what should I do."

Mira narrowed her eyes, nudging him on the shoulder. "Don't act so innocent, everyone's staring."

He sighed, adjusting his glasses. "I'm here to work, not to start a fan frenzy."

She leaned closer, whispering teasingly, "mujhe bhi to bhabhi chahiye."

Shivansh shook his head, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

As they walked through the lobby, someone called her.

"Mira."

He nudged her slightly, "dekh, madhumakkhi aa gaya." He teased her.

She rolled her eyes and turned around, they saw doctor Neil Sharma approaching, a big smile was playing on his lips.

"See I made your favorite pav bhaji, by myself." Neil said showing the lunchbox with a proud grin.

"Have I asked you for this." Mira raised an eyebrow.

"No, but I wanted to make this for you." Neil said excitedly.

"Waha wo harami Prem, aur yaha ye madhumakkhi." Mira whispered under her breath shaking her head, Shivansh controlled his laugh at her compliment.

"Actually makkhi- I mean Neil I'm very busy today, so I'll talk to you later," she said giving her best fake smile, "ok."

"But pav bhaaji-"

"I'll eat it," Shivansh took the lunchbox from his hands, "tumne bahut efforts daale honge na isme."

Shivansh and Mira turned and walked away.

"Kitna chipku hai ye." Mira shook her head.

Shivansh looked at her, "pav bhaji-"

"Tu kha le." Mira said and walked to her cabin. He shrugged his shoulders, "achha hai, aaj canteen ke paise bach jaayenge." He said to himself with a grin and walked to his cabin.
